Write a Best Essay

Write an essay about the person you would like to honor, how they have impacted your life and what “It’s a Wonderful Life” means/meant to them and to you.
 
The essays will become a permanent part of the history of the Museum. There is no word limit.

Write the Best Essay in honor of someone who has impacted your life for a chance to have the following placed in their memory:

Best Essay Placements:

  • Stars – 20 Best Essays

  • Bells – 10 Best Essays (1 selected already — Charlotte Rodgers)

  • Seat Plaques – 2 Best Essays

  • The “Clarence Star” — Placed in honor of Patrick Dockeney

  • Earth — Placed in honor of Val Bias

  • Gemini (“the twins”)

  • Ursa Minor (“the little bear” – includes the North Star) — Placed in honor of Bernard K. Punikai’a

  • Cassiopeia (“the queen”)

  • Corona Australis (the southern crown) — placed in honor of Janet E. MacGregor Montanaro

  • Monoceros (“the unicorn”)

  • Columba (“the dove”) — Placed in honor of Tessa Genovese

  • Phoenix (“the phoenix”)

  • Horologium (the clock) — Placed in honor of Shirley Ann DeGregory
